Galaxy Note 8 vs iPhone 8 Comparison Guide
So you're thinking about upgrading to one of the tech world's brand-new devices. Good move! In September, the market saw the release of two new long-awaited smartphones: The Note 8 and the iPhone 8. Much to the delight of Apple aficionados, CEO Tim Cook announced not one but three brand-new iPhone models at its annual Keynote in September. In addition to the new iPhone 8, consumers now have the option to upgrade to the larger iPhone 8 Plus as well as the highly-anticipated iPhone X, Apple's new luxury smartphone.
After the release of the Note 7 - quite literally - crashed and burned, it's no surprise that the Note 8 is bigger, better and even more exciting than customers imagined. The new Note was unveiled on August 23, 2017 and users were able to pre-order shortly after. Coincidence or not, the Note 8 and iPhone 8 have had a strangely similar timeline in terms of release: The Note 8 is said to begin shipping on Sept. 15, just a few days after iPhone 8 pre-orders began. It's no surprise that these two new smartphones are already anticipated to become fast rivals.
Digital Supply USA has the inside-scoop on the differences between these brand-new phones. Comparing the Models at a Glance
Overall, reviewers remark that Apple gets the badge in terms of new innovations, especially since Samsung unveiled most of the high-tech features of the Note 8 with last year's releases. Besides the fact that it has the largest screen size yet, the Samsung model doesn't have a huge amount of all-new performance-enhancing features. It's equipped the cool Infinity Display that was released last year on the Galaxy S8 and S8+ models. With that being said, the Note 8 does have a fancy new Dual Camera that features two 12 megapixel cameras, both of which feature optical image stabilization (OIS).
The new collection of iPhones ranges from the $700 4.7-inch iPhone to the $1,000 iPhone X. The X includes features that rival the Note 8 and other Samsung models, including the highest resolution screen to date with a nearly bezel-less display that's similar to Samsung's Infinity Display. It also gets a Dual Camera, with two 12-megapixel cameras featuring wide-angle and telephoto lenses. Apple finally met up with Samsung by adding wireless charging capabilities with all of its new iPhones. As far as which one's better, the jury's still out, but take a look at the specs of each to see which one has the most potential.
